Scarsdale, Bronxville, Chappaqua and Bedford are full of Tudors, Colonials and stone houses built when American hardwoods were the natural choice. Restoring or extending one of these homes often calls for a floor rooted in the same tradition. Our Listone range includes North American species in a Superior selection, made to order in 3/4″ solid wood. Standard widths run from 3″ to 12″, with random lengths of 2 to 10 feet, and wider or longer boards on request.

American Cherry: Warmth That Deepens

American Cherry (Prunus serotina) is offered as a 141 millimeter straight plank or a 141 millimeter herringbone, both 20 millimeters thick. Its reddish-brown tone is a classic match for paneled libraries and dining rooms in a Scarsdale Tudor. Cherry is a wood that gains character over the years, which suits a family home meant to be passed down. It is available unfinished or prefinished in UV oil or natural oil.

American Red Elm: Wild Grain, Many Widths

American Red Elm (Ulmus americana) offers the widest range of straight widths in this group: 91, 111, 120, 141, 181, 186 and 191 millimeters, in random lengths from 500 to 2000 millimeters or more. A 91 millimeter herringbone is also available. Elm’s lively, interlocking grain gives a farmhouse kitchen or a family room in Bedford a relaxed, country character. Mixing two or three widths adds to the effect.

American White Oak: The Most Versatile Choice

American White Oak (Quercus alba) comes in straight widths from 141 to 201 millimeters, and in a 90 millimeter herringbone cut in Italian, French and Hungarian lengths of 700, 620 and 660 millimeters. It takes stain and oil evenly, so it can be pale and modern in a Chappaqua renovation or deep and traditional in a Bronxville center hall. See our herringbone collection for pattern options.

American Red Oak: Honest and Traditional

American Red Oak (Quercus rubra) is the floor many older Westchester homes were built with. We offer it in straight widths from 141 to 201 millimeters and a 90 millimeter herringbone. When an addition must sit beside an original red oak floor, matching species keeps the transition invisible. Our team can then sand and refinish old and new together with our refinishing service.

American Glacial Oak: A Lighter Take

American Glacial Oak is a North American oak offered in straight widths of 141, 181 and 191 millimeters and a 90 millimeter herringbone. It gives a fresh, lighter look for a newly built home in Scarsdale or a modern wing on an older house. Like every species here, it can be supplied unfinished for on-site finishing or prefinished in UV oil or natural oil. Browse more widths in our wide plank collection.
