LOBADUR® 2K Invisible Protect A.T – For a totally natural look

This beautiful white oak pattern floor was installed in the Midwest for a customer who wanted a floor with a completely natural look. Trying to finish a floor and have it “look like there’s nothing on the floor” has never been a contractors favorite obstacle. Homeowners love the idea of a natural floor, but often do not want to deal with the maintenance that comes with caring for a hardwax oil coating. The headache of consistently applying a wax soap maintenance coat to keep up the durability of the floor is never a great selling point. Not only is it difficult to keep up with a coating that easily gets worn out due to normal use, but dealing with the consistent phone calls from homeowners who are unhappy with their floors gets tiresome.

For this job, the customer was introduced to one of our newest products, LOBADUR® 2K Invisible Protect A.T. — a floor protectant that gives all the look of a natural bare floor, but gives the protection of a film forming coating. This self sealing product is an approved two coat application for commercial and residential areas and adds absolutely no color to the floor.

The application here just required a smoothly sanded floor, the product was then applied by roller and the first coat was left to dry overnight. In the morning there was inter-coat abrasion, followed by a second coat applied the same as the first. It was left to cure for 48 hours, and was good to go. For the customer, maintenance couldn’t be easier. This protection only requires a simple vacuuming with a soft brush attachment and the use of Loba Hardwood Floor Cleaner as necessary.

There are other options for a natural looking floor, but none that leave the color unchanged the same way the Invisible Protect A.T. does. Competitor products normally come in at about 30-40% more expensive, with results the leave you wanting for more. Hardwax applications, beyond the headache of maintenance, are more labor intensive  when it comes to removing all the excess oil and also can take up to 10 days to fully cure. Custom staining is an option as well, but they need to be adjusted to each individual floor since no two floors are ever the same. The use of 2K Invisible Protect A.T. takes guessing out of the equation, and gives you consistent results no matter the species of the wood flooring.
