Helpful information includes several key details. First, mention the room sizes or provide the total square footage of the project location. Next, specify the service that interests you. Then, state if any flooring requires removal. Finally, include pictures related to your project.
After you receive our email estimate, we can visit your home if you prefer, although it’s not always necessary. At that time, we measure the space, confirm the pricing on your provided estimate, show samples, and set work dates. Additionally, we will collect a deposit for the work and provide you with a formal concrete bid.
If measuring the space is inconvenient or you’d prefer direct assistance, we’re happy to help immediately. However, we charge $500 to visit peoples homes. If you hire us, we will deduct the $500 charge from your final bill, effectively making the consultation free. Should you decide against our services, the $500 will cover the time, fuel, and effort spent preparing your estimate. We kindly request your understanding of the importance of our time. As such, we prioritize interactions with individuals who have a clear intention to utilize our services. CUSTOMIZATION OF YOUR FLOORS
- Wire Brushing (A texturing technique that removes some of the soft grain of the wood) – From $4.99 per sqft
- Bleaching To create a mild white washed look, or to help tone down reddish/pink colors showing through stain when using lighter colored stains add $3/sf
- Fuming A graying effect caused by a natural reaction with the tannins present in certain woods – $3/sf
- Ebonizing – A graying/blackening effect caused by a natural reaction with the tannis present in certain woods add $4/sf
- Pre-Coloring – These are dyes that are used prior to finishing which helps create very deep coloring and or textured looks – from $6.99/sf
- Dyes – These are for coloring woods that would otherwise be hard to stain evenly, or to achieve other looks that stain won’t get such as black floors etc. – from $4.99/sf
- Ceruse – This is an old wood working technique of making the wood grain a different color than the rest of the wood, creating a 2 toned look – from $15.99/sf
- Lye Pre-Treatments – Lye treatments are done prior to staining and or finishing, they provide a white or gray driftwood sort of coloring to some woods, these can then be coated with another color (for a textured look or to add depth) or they can be naturally finished with any of our other finishes. – from $4/sf
- Additional Finish Coatings $3 per square foot, or $3.49 per square foot for 2 – See floor finishes
- Staining $3.49 per square foot (this includes; a water pretreatment to help stain take evenly “water popping”, the extra sanding steps needed to prepare the floors for stain, the stain of your choice, unlimited sample options, and extra sanding done with our State of the Art Lagler Trio Sanders, which makes for the perfect sand job. This is essential when staining ) –
- Solid Wood Stair Tread & Riser Re-Finishing ($175-$300 per tread – $175-$300 per riser)
FLOORING INSTALLATION (RESIDENTIAL & COMMERCIAL)
- Installation of Pre-finished Engineered Wood Floors or Pre-Finished Solid from $9.88 per square foot ($4,500 Minimum) (Glue down installation is extra)
