2025 Reclaimed Wood Floors

Reclaimed

Our reclaimed wood materials

We source our reclaimed floors from century-old barns, factories, and agricultural structures across the United States. We salvage these historic American timbers from industrial and rural buildings dating back to the 1800s and early 1900s, giving new life to wood rich in character, strength, and story. Each plank we recover holds a legacy—perfectly suited for distinctive reclaimed flooring that adds depth and authenticity to any space.

Unlike demolition, our process involves careful, deliberate building deconstruction—each board and beam is preserved with precision to ensure its integrity for reuse. This meticulous method protects the quality of the reclaimed hardwood, which we then transport to our mill for expert processing into premium reclaimed wood floors. Every step ensures that our reclaimed flooring reflects both the craftsmanship of the past and the durability required for modern living.

Once salvaged

We remove all metal fasteners like nails, screws, and bolts from the wood before transforming it into premium reclaimed floors. Then we kiln-dry and re-mill the material into high-quality reclaimed wood flooring, wall paneling, and ceiling applications. The result? Reclaimed floors that offer a timeless aesthetic and exceptional durability that modern lumber simply can’t match.

All our reclaimed flooring and wood products are proudly milled and finished 100% in the USA, ensuring quality craftsmanship and sustainability at every stage. Whether you’re restoring a historic home or designing a modern space with character, our reclaimed floors bring unmatched warmth, texture, and history. Prices for our reclaimed flooring typically range from $20 to $50 per square foot, depending on species, age, and customization.

Character Grade

Milled Face

Matte Low VOC Waterbase Poly

Our Reclaimed materials are finished with either a low VOC water-based polyurethane in – Natural Matte – or an all natural VOC free flax-based oil.

SURFACE / FACE TREATMENTS

Our Reclaimed floors are milled in 3 distinct surfaces:

  • ORIGINAL FACE The full patina of the original reclaimed wood including original saw marks, and oxidized metal stains remains on this face. Each plank in this surface is brushed and lightly sanded to clean them up and make them suitable for either flooring or walls. This is the must rustic & raw look in our reclaimed materials.
  • HIT OR MISS FACE Some areas of the board are sanded smooth while others are left with an original face, this technique is sometimes referred to as “skip-planing”. Ths is the middle ground between the rusticity of Original Face and the refinement of Milled Face.
  • MILLED FACE Most every board in a Milled Face reclaimed is sanded smooth, leaving only traces of the original face and inherent saw marks. Milled Face materials can also come from the center of larger reclaimed timbers such as large beams and joists, etc. This is the cleanest and most elegant look in our reclaimed materials.

Installation methods vary depending on wood format and site conditions, but here are some general guidelines:

  • Solid wood is typically nailed, or nailed and glued, to a plywood subfloor.
  • Engineered wood is typically glued down to concrete or plywood subfloors, with or without an underlayment such a sound abating mat or a moisture barrier, depending on site conditions/requirements.
  • Engineered floors are also usually the best choice for gluing down over radiant heat installations.
  • In either format, when planks are particularly wide, gluing and nailing is always good practice if possible.
